Which ODT documents are compatible?It depends somewhat on the software used to create the file. eBookWorkflow has successfully transformed documents generated by
• LibreOffice,
• OpenOffice,
• OpenOffice.org/2.0,
• MicrosoftOffice/15.0 MicrosoftWord...
However, we cannot provide an absolute guarantee. On the other hand, you can send us the problematic document. We will do everything in our power to satisfy you. -
Does eBookWorkflow only work with LibreOffice?eBookWorkflow has little dependency on LibreOffice, as most of the work is done by the executable program under Windows (64 bits)
Suppose you use another application to create your book (OpenOffice...) and the eBookWorkflow macro is not compatible. In this case, you can:
• Load the eBook.ott template (or another, if you prefer).
• Export the document as... HTML.
• Record a macro that performs these two simple operations.
• This should work (without formal guarantee).Please note that in the eBookWorkflow architecture, LibreOffice only acts as a subroutine.
• However, we have verified compatibility with OpenOffice 4.1.14 under Windows 11.
• Note: There may be differences in how applications export HTML files.
